St Albans Police Station

Hertfordshire Constabulary – St Albans Police Station

Circa £400,000.00

Scope of work

We were appointed following a mini-competition for the upgrading and construction of new offices and support accommodation for Hertfordshire Police in St Albans. The works were carried out within an existing Council building, while they remained in occupation above the works on other floors. It included converting undercroft car parking into a police station and supporting office space at ground floor level and a staff cafeteria. Throughout the operations access, egress and parking for the council staff and public had to be maintained and co-ordinated with our access and deliveries.

Works include blockwork and drainage, partitioning, mechanical electrical and plumbing (including air-conditioning and energy-efficient Green thermos heating) floor, wall and ceiling finishes, carpentry and joinery, decoration, glazed partitioning with internal blinds and windows and doors. Externally we reformed the car park and provided line marking, access-controlled steel gates.
